I imagine something needs to be changed in bios but nothing I've tried there has worked so far either. BIOS are up to date, Intel HD drivers are installed on the Windows installation, unplugging stuff, etc. When I plug it in the monitor switches to DP input automatically but then says "no dp signal from your device." The DisplayPort however will not put out any video whatsoever (bios or OS). The VGA port works fine for BIOS, Windows, etc. (reason being I plan on using this machine as a hackintosh, so I can't use onboard VGA and I'm avoiding the AMD card due to compatibity issues there). It had an AMD HD 5450 1GB in it, I was using the HDMI connector on that card for Windows/Ubuntu but long story short I've removed that card from the system and need to use the integrated graphics DisplayPort on the motherboard to connect to my monitor.
